This past year, I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Medical Scribe at Tucson Orthopedic Institute, where I had the chance to work with many medical professionals and gain valuable experience in the professional field that has helped to give me a perspective on what my future could look like. One of the reasons I moved to the Tanque Verde Valley in 2010 is because of the Tanque Verde Unified School system.

Having moved to Temecula over 12 years ago this place, that at first was my new house and city, has now become my community and home. When I am in college, I hope to do a study abroad to help immerse myself in another culture for an extended amount of time. When an opportunity arose to serve on the Governing Board, I felt that it would be a great opportunity to serve the community and give back to the schools that educated my children. We moved to the Phoenix area when I was quite young because of my father’s work. My most significant contribution to the Governing Board has been serving on the District’s preschool committee. My hope is to make a difference through my board service to the lives of TVUSD students by providing them with a variety of learning experiences and education options in both college and career pathways. I share my successes of attending summer programs at Stanford University, and the University of Virginia, two state qualifications for Mock Trial, a Theater national qualification, an Arizona Girls State participant and a HOBY recipient with the TVHS community as I would not have had these opportunities available to me without their dedication.

After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Arizona, I moved to Cleveland, OH to earn a Master of Science in the same subject area from Case Western Reserve University. I attended preschool at Tanque Verde Lutheran, went to elementary school at Tanque Verde Elementary, was a middle schooler at Emily Gray, and am now currently a senior at Tanque Verde High School!
