So I just started playing NFS Heat (after a long break from the series) and is using BMW M3 which has very good handing, at-least that's how it feels to me. It's just grippy enough to never slide if you don't want to, but just slippy enough to slide when you need it. Might be able to get better top speeds doing so if not. Faster 0-60 doesn't always lead to faster 0-top speed or better track times. The Acura especially has some absolutely gorgeous handling. I run the stock motor (5.2L V10) in this car because it sounds great and I have enough cars with the 6.5L V12 in them already and didn't want another one. I just bought the mclaren P1 GTR and I kinda like the handling, turns very well but the rear wheels goes off easy. This was my first "full build" car on this game and has never left me frustrated. Here is a list of cars I use most for track races and why. The others claim yet again Porsche 911 Carrera RSR to be the absolute very best in this game.
im using the Subaru Impreza WRX as my offroad car and it drives pretty good. Dare I say it could be on par with the RSR or the Ford GT. All the BMWs tend to be very well-balanced and are highly popular in the aftermarket crowds. I haven't used an Aventador SVJ, but I do have the S model. What's the best offroad car in Heat. The RSR is undeniably the best, you can blitz through tight corners at 200mph without even touching the brakes. I have started "Flying Dutchman" (one of the straighter races in the game) LATE and still won because this car just shreds straightaways. Respect+. I recommend the 7 speed trans in this car, as it seemingly just adds another 30 MPH top speed with no drawbacks or change in gearing (at least on my build). Pagani, f40, Ford gt are the S tier.

Top speed of most cars is similar anyways, it's how quickly you reach that speed and how much you lose that speed while turning. This car will NOT slide for shit though, so I don't suggest using it if you want to drift corners whatsoever. It’s dirt cheap, and can get to 400+ without an engine. There is a lot of racing in Need For Speed Heat with various tracks events in the open world of Palm Spring.There are around 120 vehicles in the showroom.Each vehicle has its own benefit but you will have to invest money to buy a vehicle. The Lotus Exige is the best handling car I’ve used in the game so far. I'm confident it just needs the right engine swap (currently unavailable to it) to push it further. RSR is unbeatable if driven properly on any road course. It goes like 20MPH faster than everything else, so you WILL smoke everyone on straights. They all share the same handling system …

In addition; Live Tuning can be accessed to add more or less Downforce and thus increase or decrease Top Speed at the expense of Acceleration.

As far as Handling can be defined - it comes down to Player Preference and how comfortable you feel driving. I know, this question has been asked 3967306 times before… but still: I wonder what's the best race-trek car in NfS Heat. They are just shy of my RSR track times, but it's a struggle to push them any further. That's why people suggest looking at live tuning's quarter mile. Nice thing about the P1, LaFerrari, and the Aventador SVJ Roadster is that their stock engines are generally "good enough". The first thing you should know is that almost all the cars in Need for Speed: Heat behave in the same way.

The R8 is my dream car, and those other two have been growing on me pretty quickly.
It doesn't handle great, but if you handbrake briefly going into corners, it does move nicely and re-accelerates pretty well.
Imo its the 70’ cuda it can get to 1,000+ hp it carried me through the whole game, edit: miata, infiniti q60, 180sx, and nissan fairlady are my fav cars in the game. Do you use the Dual Turbo for more HP or do you use the Screw Supercharger for more torque on the Honda NSX? (I've only tested it with the M3 LE engine; there's probably a better engine.)
This car jumps to the top of the list for races with a lot of or very long straights. I'd appreciate any help or information that gets me closer to buying my new car. Nice thing about the fairlady is that it can take the same 3.6l flat 6 engine the RSR can. I've been using that one, but I feel it's kinda slow (top speed) compared to others in multiplayer races. I'd put that one in my short list of great budget cars, too. Not the best performance, but it does 0-100 ( Metric ) in 1.57 seconds, Basically all ferraris, lotus exige, rsr, lancer evo X, Ford gt, countach all from my experience handle very well. All of these cars are running all max parts and full track suspension/tires/diff setups. Just depends if you want the longer gears that the V12 provides. This is an ancient post at this point but I want to help anyone else that comes across it like I did. I haven't tried engine swapping them for better performance; they're a bit on the expensive side, and what they can swap to is usually either not significantly different, limited to a very short list of other cars it can be swapped into (if any) or not at all better than what they already have, but "good enough" for swapping between a bunch of different cars, saving part swap time/money. Handles well at high speeds but it’s definitely not the best. The Pistas grip is unparalleled in the game.

I don't know what you are talking about RSR is true most OP thing in the game and would probably be classified as SS tier, it barely drops speed on corners and turns like a champ and has insane acceleration. share.

When maxed out, this car has 10s for every stat category. (They can also both take the Chevy Colorado's 3.6l v6, if that's more your cup of tea.). So if you want to jump further away, use heavier cars. I haven't driven an FXX-K yet, as my crew is only 2 people, so I can't offer anything there either. But still I get passed by other cars that seem to be driving on hyperspeed. The VW beetle with 2.5l flat 4.
The 488 Pista with the 3.8L V8 is also a beast along with the others mentioned. Avoid these cars, they don't turn at all: Cars that dont turn also include the GTR R35 and all the Aventadors. Need for Speed Heat is a game that requires skills to beat. Or what about the McLaren P1 GTR, is it worth its 2.200k cash? Feel free to add to this list. Aside from those recommendations I will support the overall idea of the Regera. It is not as good as the RSR, but can do high angle curves as well without breaking. I find the R34 and R32 difficult as well.

Tried to recreate one of my favorite cars from NFS Undercover - Diego's Supra (BRZ) 621. It's the 911 RSR. Right now Im using the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupé with all ultimate parts.
My buddy has the GTR and he likes it better than his LaFerrari, which is a great all around car (honestly worth considering as well, one of the few cars I don't like to race against).
An underrated car in this game is the Mustang Foxbody. Need for Speed Heat is full of challenging races and events to complete. Steering Sensitivity is another option that can further help with mastering the maneuvering of your customized vehicle.
For me personally, the Pista is the best car in the game outside of the RSR. It's too overpowered that makes every car obsolete. This is just my experience, I'm no NFS pro, nor have I played an NFS game since Most Wanted on PS2: Audi R8 - Great acceleration, 230+MPH top speed, sticks to the road like glue. Those 3 cars get me where I wanna be 99% of the time.
