Before I read this, I knew about COINTELPRO and the FBI’s mission to destabilise black communities and black liberation activists in the us, but reading about it in clinical white academic dates and times doesn’t communicate even a tiny bit of the damage they did to black liberation activists. It’s a woman’s journey expressed on paper that embodied the truth. I was isolated from Black people growing up so I had no idea and still didn't until the last few years, just how terribly the United States has treated anyone who is not considered white. Find all the books, read about the author, and more. The book just makes you think at what point will we realize that justice in the USA was not designed for people of color. I am thankful that she shared her story with us.
